The Manager, Human Resources reports to and collaborates closely with the Executive Director to understand Sonshine Community Services’ (SCS) human resource needs. The incumbent is responsible for the development and delivery of a human resources program with emphasis on leadership development and coaching, employee relations and performance management. As a member of the Sonshine leadership team the successful candidate will support SCS to fulfill its mission. In addition, he/she is the subject matter expert on all HR matters including the review and creation of policy, associated procedures and its implementation.
The Child Support Worker will be working in a second stage shelter for women and children who have been impacted by family violence and/or trauma. The successful candidate will be working together with child support team, residential counsellors, family support workers, director of children’s services and the lead child support worker in a professional, child-focused and trauma-informed program that meet the needs of typically developing children and children impacted by toxic stress and trauma.
The Part-time Family Support Worker will be working in the second stage residential shelter for women and children who have escaped domestic violence and been impacted by family violence and/or trauma. The successful candidate will be working together with the Team Lead, Residential Counsellors, Family Support Workers, the Intensive Case Manager, the child support team, and the Director of Residential and Community Services in a professional, trauma-informed program that meets the needs of women and children impacted by toxic stress and trauma.
