We provide men, women and couples with trustworthy, ethical and nurturing counselling services and endeavor to help each person move toward healthier relationships and stronger, more resilient lives.

Sonshine Community Counselling Services is open to all people regardless of race, faith or cultural background. Our counsellors, with varied skills, backgrounds and areas of expertise, are trained professionals with graduate degrees from accredited post-secondary institutions.

We help clients work through issues such as:

  • depression
  • stress
  • grief
  • anxiety
  • low self-esteem
  • anger
  • personal growth
  • communication difficulties
  • boundaries
  • spiritual questions
  • marital and relationship conflict
  • family violence
  • physical, sexual and spiritual abuse

We offer seminars and workshops for businesses, churches and organizations addressing issues such as:

  • self-care
  • worry and anxiety
  • stress management
  • family violence
  • dating violence
  • listening skills
  • premarital guidance
  • support for partners of those struggling with sexual integrity

Our fees are determined on a sliding scale according to client income. We operate on a non-profit basis, relying on the generosity of our donors to subsidize fees for those unable to pay our full cost of providing services.
